About Stephanie Laird

Stephanie Laird

I have written three tutorials on creative and easy techniques in Photoshop Elements. Although I have a passion for photography, my photos were very ordinary. When I received my first copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements (#2), it literally sat in the box for 2 years. I did not want to tackle this software. However, when I finally loaded the software and sat myself down to learn it, a new and creative world opened up for me. I am not a technical person so it took a while for me to navigate through the software. I found out that it isn't as mystifying as it first seemed. My tutorials are written to help the creative person achieve their vision or realize new visions for their art and are very simply written - as that is the way I learn. I personally believe that Elements can do just about anything, editing-wise, that even the most expensive software products can do.

My images are licensed through "Out of the Blue" licensing agency. Credits include Leanin' Tree Greeting Cards (The Hallmark of western greeting cards) R.S.V.P. Greetings and Eurographics who in-turn sells under many names.

I have been published as contributing photographer to the Haven Magazine, a showcase of beautifully styled homes, The Parade Magazine, Photographer's Edge, Animal Talk magazine and lots of local newspapers and web-sites.

My shows (all one person) include, Stacked Stone Cellars, The Porch, Silver Stone Vineyards and Sylvester Vineyards. Cooperative shows including Cafe Vio Art Gallery and The Celebration of Life, a national tour.

Competitions (one of my favorite things to do) are way too many to list but include First Place in Betterphoto's international competition with over 30 thousand entries, Best of Show at the California Mid-State Fair for 2009 & 2010, Equine Photographer's Network's annual photography contest and a whole lot more.

Commissioned works include everything from Rodeo Queens to Vineyard Owners, Horse Shows to Weddings.

But I love to share my knowledge with others, so I encourage you to just start using Photoshop Elements. It's fun and you will surprise yourself with "the creative genius" that you are!

Since I started selling my ebooks, I have received so many beautiful pictures from people who have learned these techniques. It has been a real joy to introduce them to Fantasy Fusion Photography and to see where their own special creativity takes them!
